How to get a job in Lagos Life
Getting hired takes about thirty seconds. Here is the exact flow, plus what happens on your first day.
1. Open the Phone → Jobs app
Tap Phone in the bottom bar, then the green Jobs app (top-left). This is the game's own first objective, so you will see a “Get a job” prompt pushing you here.
2. Pick a job and Apply
Each listing shows the starting role, the pay per shift, the days per week and any skill it needs. With no skills yet, the best you can take straight away are Banking, Tech or Refining. Tap Apply — start tomorrow.
3. Go to work when it's time
You start the next in-game day. When your shift opens, a 🚗 Go to work prompt appears — tap it, put in the one-hour shift, and you earn that salary. You don't have to find the building yourself.
Before every shift: top up your needs
Your mood affects your work performance, and performance affects both your pay and your next promotion. Before a shift, eat, sleep, bathe and have a little fun so you turn up at your best.
Can you be fired or change jobs?
You can apply to a different career any time from the Jobs app — switching simply starts you at Level 1 of the new one. Keeping your performance high and showing up on your work days is what protects your standing and unlocks promotions.
